IPL 5 – Match 1 – Chennai Super Kings Versus Mumbai Indians – Who Will Win?

IPL 5 – Match 1 – Chennai Super Kings Versus Mumbai Indians – Who Will Win?

Chennai Has The Home Advantage:

The Super Kings have got the home advantage and this will be a big boost for them as they clash with the most dangerous team in the IPL, the Mumbai Indians. The Mumbai Indians have got the talent of surprising any team in this IPL and they will be looking to do just the same. But the host advantage doesn’t seem to favor the Mumbai Indians as they are the visitors in this first summit clash against the Chennai Super Kings. This home advantage will make Chennai a difficult team to deal with.

Mumbai Has The Advantage Because Of The Bench Strength Of Their Foreigners:

I think the Mumbai Indians have got the maximum chance of winning this match because of their bench strength as far as the foreigners are concerned. Their captain Harbhajan Singh will have a strong discussion in selecting his four foreigners because there are strong lists of players who have proved their talent in various departments of this game. To name a few, Richard Levi, Herschelle Gibbs, Mitchell Johnson, Clint McKay, Lasith Malinga, Kieron Pollard, Thissara Perera, Robin Peterson and so on. But Malinga and Pollard will be an automatic chance in the eleven and which means the captain has got the freedom to choose only two from the above list.

Jadeja Needs To Prove His Worth In This IPL:

Jadeja, who has been purchased for a big price money of nearly 10 crores, needs to prove his worth in this IPL. Everyone considers that this 10 crore is useless for Jadeja and he should have been picked for just 1 or 2 crores. But we can’t predict his form in the Ipl season because he has already won many a matches for the now-banned Kochi Tuskers Kerala in the previous season. But anyway he needs to continue his good form in the IPL and prove that his tag name his worth a ten crore rupees.

Sachin Is Relieved From Century Of Centuries As Well As Captaincy:

Sachin Tendulkar has been relieved from his captaincy pressure as well his elusive hundred hundreds. He got relieved from the century of centuries on March 16, 2012 against Bangladesh where he scored 114 off 147 deliveries. This proved to be a major turning point in his career as he can play like a 16 year old kid hereafter. So, I think this will be a major turning point for the Indians and my prediction is that the Indians will triumph in this encounter.

Chennai Will Miss Hussey:

Chennai Super Kings will miss star batsmen Mike Hussey for the initial stages of the IPL which means that the opening slot is vacant and MSD will be thinking hard to fix a player in the opening slot till the arrival of Mike Hussey. But they have got depth in their batting in their names of Raina, Badrinath and Dhoni and so on…

Tremendous Entertainment To The Fans All Over The World:

I hope that this IPL will provide a tremendous entertainment to all the fans. The nine teams will try their best to take the IPL Cup but only one best team can win this Cup. But it will be interesting to see which team wins the IPL because it’s the most popular Premier League in the World. Good Luck to all the teams! Play well and provide your fans a great entertainment. All the best.

Prehistoric Life On Earth

The Prehistoric Life On The Earth

The Age Of The Earth:

The exact number of years that the Earth had been present in the solar system is unknown. But the Scientists have confirmed that the Earth must have been present for millions and millions of years. When the Earth’s age (4.6 billions years approximately) is written as a number, it appears like this: 4,600,000,000. We can’t imagine thinking of a number like this.

Does Life Exist In The Earth Always?

For the first part of the Earth’s existence (1 billion years), there were no life existences on the Earth. The temperature was extremely hot and so it seemed as though there were no possibilities for the existence of life in the planet. There were absolutely no kinds of human life or animals or plants in this now-human-existing-World. In fact, we can even call the Earth a dangerous place to live in.

Does The Earth Always Look The Same?

The Earth’s structure was different in the past compared to the present. It was drawn as an oval to fit every part of the Earth into the universe. These parts were all combined together to form a giant mass. In due course of time, these giant masses broke into smaller pieces which are now called as the continents of the World.

The Beginning Of Life On Earth:

Not accurately but can be predicted to some extent. It all started 3.5 billion years ago. The first life to place its foot on the Earth was on the sea. But the sea creatures were present although the past Earth had a number of poisonous gases present in the core of the atmosphere. The color of the sky was pink and sea was in a rusty-red state.

How Did Life Begin At First?

Rumours are spreading fast that the life suddenly hit the surface of the Earth when a lightning hit the sea. It sent a tremendous energy into the surface of the water and there came the first life in the Earth. This energy mixed all the chemicals in the sea. The life was able to grow because of the new amino acids that were created.

The First Living Beings:

Bacteria were the first living things that were created on the earth, prior to the sea living creatures. It was changed to algae, which were very simple plants. It lived in sea in masses, that is, it lived like huge covered blankets. They reacted with each other and made the most important gas for respiration (oxygen) which helped to turn the sky and sea into blue colour.

The Animals Which Lived In The Sea:

At first, for millions of years, life existed only in the seas. It was a home to a large variety of living beings like shellfish, worms, sponges and jelly fish. Backbones were absent for all the above mentioned animals.

The First Appearance Of Life On Land:

Nearly 440 million years ago was the first life that existed on the land surface of the Earth. It was nothing complicated but very simple. The first land animals were worms, spiders, scorpions and insects and they even evolved as they moved on to the land.

India Vs Australia – 1st ODI Melbourne – Virender Sehwag Dropped

Sehwag Dropped From The Indian Eleven:

Rohit Sharma was brought into the Indian team instead of the dashing Delhi opener Viru today against Australia in the first triangular ODI series at Melbourne. The swashbuckling Sehwag should have been considered in the playing eleven, as he has no fear for the bowlers, no matter whatever be their calibre. There are two ways to view this matter. The first one is, Viru has had a lot of failures in the recent times and it’s good to have dropped him. The second is, a player of potential like Viru can’t be dropped as we can’t predict the success or failiure of him in a given match. But, as an individual, MS Dhoni has done a right thing by dropping Sehwag as keeping him in the team will bring disunity in the team. But rather than viewing Dhoni’s action as an individual, you have to view it as an action by a cricketer. Sehwag is not a player to be dropped as a cricketer as he has done only good to India and haven’t done anything bad in the past. So, I strongly say that dropping Viru will be a body blow to the team as Indians have got nobody to replace this guy. Dhoni should bring him back in the next match itself and test his luck as a captain.

The Indians Hope To Continue Their Good Work

The Indians need to keep up their good work in this match too and they must have their heads held high. They must realize that they are the defending champions in the particular format of the game and they must play to their potential in this Triangular series. Losing a Test series 4-0 doesn’t sound great. But you all know that Test Cricket is entirely different from One days and T20s and the team that performs the best on a given day can only bring good results in ODI’s and T20s. But in Tests, you have to keep on performing for the whole of 5 days and the result matters on the performance of the five days that you play. So, I hope that the Indian Cricket team would have forgotten their recent defeat to Australia and they will start afresh this series. Good luck India!

Vinay Kumar was brilliant against Australia

Toss Was A Major Factor:

The toss was also a major factor today as India won the toss and they decided to field first. Dhoni’s decision was a wise one as there was great swing and low bounce in the Melbourne track today. The Australians couldn’t make good yields from their batting line-up that consisted of David Warner, Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke etc. Vinay Kumar is particularly brilliant today with his swing and movement and he has impressed till now. Will there be turn in this Melbourne track? If so, Ashwin and Jadeja can turn the ball effectively and can take wickets. Let’s hope India does well with their limited resources.

IPL Would Be A Great Entertainment To All The Cricket Fans:

IPL is a tournament played every year in the month of April and it lasts till May. I am sure, that will provide a great entertainment to all the cricket fans all over the World as it is only a T20 game. Always, a T20 game can provide great entertainment to all the fans as it is the shortest version of the game. And also there are all lots of big hitters in every team and so it will make each and every match a fascinating contest. So all the cricket fans should not miss this great contest among different states of India. This is the 5th session of the IPL and also, each and every team will get a chance to host the matches so that everybody can cheer that particular team. Good luck IPL!

India Versus Australia - 2nd T20 Melbourne - India pulls of a comprehensive victory

India Versus Australia – 2nd T20 MelbourneIndia Pulls Of A Comprehensive Victory

India’s Good Performance Today:

It was a magnificent performance by the Indians today as they crushed the mighty Aussies by 8 wickets to match the series 1-1. It was truly an Indian’s day today. Now, India will move into the ODI series as a lot more confident Indian team that lacked the fighting spirit before this game. Team India would hope to continue the good form they have, after winning this match. The joy in the Indian team has no bounds as they won India by 8 wickets with Gautam Gambhir top scoring for India with a well made 56. However, Gautam made all the Indian fans to come to the edge of their chairs as India needed 1 of the last over. Gambhir gave three dot balls to make the contest as 1 to win from three balls. The batting of the Indians was very much better compared to the last match where they managed to score a paltry 140 with Dhoni top scoring with 48.

Dhoni sharing some light moments with Gauti
India’s Batting Performance:

Today, as I said, the Indians were a much better team compared to the past Indians till the last game. Team India didn’t get an opening start of 35 plus in the tour of Australia this year. But for the first time in this series, India had an opening partnership of 43 in this match. Sehwag played a good hand today, scoring 23 off just 14 balls. Kohli and Gambhir had a good partnership as it took the match away from Australia. It was a true match winning performance today by the Indians to crack a nice victory just before the commencement of the tri-series involving Australia, India and Sri Lanka. Now, what the Indians need to do is, they just need to take this performance to the tri-series and hope the bowling attack also comes good at the right time. The Indians need to keep their cool ahead in the tri-series and they need to put runs on the board in every game they play. So, good luck India!!!

Comparison Of The World Cup Final 2011 And This Match:

I now want to compare the India’s batting in the World Cup final last year with the present match. In the World Cup final, India had lost Sehwag early and was struggling at duck for one. Then India had a good partnership between Gambhir and Sachin, in which Sachin was out for 18. Then there was a great partnership between Gauti (Gambhir) and Kohli. After Kohli was out, caught brilliantly by Dilshan off his own bowling, there was a great surprise. Captain Dhoni walked out to the middle to partner with Gambhir. Coming back to the present match, nearly the same thing happened. Sehwag was out for 23 off 14. Then Kohli and Gambhir partnered to take the game away from Australia. After Kohli was out, came the captain to partner with Dhoni. And these two finished off the match in style. The only difference in the top order of India was they badly missed the service of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar. The Indians would hope to continue their good run in the tri-series also. Lets hope India does well.

Gambhir Deserves Man Of The Match:

A classical innings from the young man Gautam Gambhir as he played a great innings off 56 to take the game away from the Australians. The Australians lacked the fire power to defeat the Indians as they were hardly in the contest. Today, Ravindra Jadeja was awarded the Man Of the Match award for his 2 run outs and a wicket. No doubt, he impressed with his bowling and fielding. But the main reason for India’s triumph today was not because of Ravindra Jadeja but because of Gautam Gambhir. The match winner proved his match winning qualities in the World Cup finals itself and he proved it today also. He is a good cricketer who can be depended upon, in tough situations. But today there was a great shock. I don’t come to the point that Jadeja didn’t do anything for the team and he never deserves the Man Of the Match trophy. But I say that, Gambhir was the main reason in the triumph of India and in the process managed to level the series 1-1. It was a great performance, overall, by the Indians and a great end to the T20 series. Keep up the good performance in the upcoming tri-series also. Good luck team India!!!

India Vs Australia 1st T20 Sydney – Australia Beats India By 31 Runs

India Vs Australia 1st T20 SydneyAustralia Beats India By 31 Runs

India’s Poor Performance:

The Indians were beaten very badly by a margin of 31 runs to trail the series 1-0.  It was nothing but the lack of fighting spirit by the Indians which was shown in their result. Nobody showed any fighting spirit to take India home. Everybody threw their wickets away without even trying to chase a target of 172. I don’t say that losing the match was bad but the way they lost shows the lack of fighting spirit. The Australians had a great day in the field and they knew how to make use of their resources to hand India a 1-0 trail in the T20 series. The performance of the Indian team in overseas is slowly detoriating series by series. They need to rectify their mistakes they make in each game and should never make those mistakes in the future. The Australians are growing in strength match by match and I hope they will be the old Australians they were in the past. The Australian bowling looked great with Brad Hogg doing a great job even though his age is 40. The killer instinct was seen in Australia today. Good job Australia!

Great Batting By The Aussies:

A great batting by the Aussies saw them impose a target of 172 from 20 overs. They were simply outstanding on the field and they maintained their discipline throughout the match. Particularly, Wade and Hussey were simply brilliant and Mathew Wade certainly deserves the Man of The Match Award today. He settled well in the first 5 overs and then he started his fireworks by pulling off Vinay Kumar for a biggy. He then hit sixes of Praveen Kumar over square leg and R Ashwin over the mid wicket region. He was unfortunate to be dismissed for a well made 72 off 43 balls when he was clean bowled in the Suresh Raina. Wade was completely beaten when tried to hit over the cover region. The start that was got by the Aussies was brilliant. Warner got them off to a flier as he scalped two big sixes off the bowling of R Ashwin. He was also brilliant today. David Hussey played a good cameo in the end hitting three sixes in his innings of 42.

Indian Batting Collapse:

The major reason for Team India’s loss to Australia was the failiure of the batting line up. At least, if a single player had taken up the responsibility and matched up the net run rate every over, then India would have been in the winning side now. Players like Sehwag, Gambhir, Kohli, Dhoni and Raina etc should have taken up the responsibility and played some good knocks against their names. But that was not the case. When the team needed Sehwag to fire, he was out for a cheap 4 that too in the very first over. Just when the partnership for the third wicket between Gambhir and Kohli was looking good, India lost Gambhir for 20. Then in the next over, Kohli tried to go for a big one off the bowling of the 40 year old Brad Hogg and was caught brilliantly in the deep by David Warner for 22. Next over, Rohit was bowled by Hussey for no score off the very first ball he faced. Raina too didn’t last long. He was out 14 off 15 deliveries. Jadeja too, was not looking comfortable enough. He also didn’t last along. Captain Dhoni should have smashed the bowling of the Aussies but that was not the case. He played defense in the most part of his innings but started to hit in the fare end when he knew the result that India would lose. You can’t achieve anything by playing defense every ball that comes your way. You have got to go for the big ones especially when there is a target of 172. But a bad batting display by the Indian skipper led to the downfall of the Indians. Dhoni, usually known for his big-hitting should have tried to stay positive and try his level best for the team. But, he was not the old Dhoni that the country is used to. In Test Cricket, if you need to stay for two and half days to help your team draw the match, you have to play an innings what Dhoni played today. This innings is a perfect example of a Test Cricket and not a T20 oriented game. The team that plays the best cricket in these 40 overs wins the game and Australia played a great game of cricket today. India was completely outplayed in all the departments of the game and the result too didn’t sound different. Its Australia at last.

Dhoni asking for a review
MS Dhoni Should Work On His Batting Concepts Well:

The Indian skipper MS Dhoni, should work on his batting skills to improve the team’s performance overall. Today, Dhoni scored 48 off 43 deliveries. Is this a good batting performance in the shortest version of the game?  A poor performance by the Captain himself. Dhoni should rather blame himself for the defeat than blaming others in the team. Zaheer Khan should have been the part of the playing eleven but he wasn’t. Sachin Tendulkar was dropped from the match. Why did he do that? These things need to be rectified to make India a great team in all the formats of the game. Let’s see what happens in the next match.

Team India Will Lose In The 2nd T20 Also:

Team India can’t hope of winning the second T20 in Melbourne. It’s out of equation. They will suffer another humiliating defeat in the hands of the Aussies. Lets hope that India perform upto their expectations in the Triangular series featuring India, Australia and Sri Lanka. All we can say is Best of Luck Team India! Do well in the remainder of the series.

India Versus Australia T20 Sydney Match - Can India Win?

India Versus Australia T20 Sydney Match - Can India Win?

History Of The Famous Ground In Australia Where The First T20 Is Scheduled To Take Place – Sydney:

Though, there are no recent T20s held in Sydney and there is also no past history of T20’s for Sydney, we can just take for example, the Sydney Test itself. The news from the centre was India had won the toss and they elected to bat first. But, India was bowled out for 191 and Australia too, didn’t have  a good start. They lost their first three batsmen quickly and were at one stage, 37/3. And then came the rescue act by Clarke and Ponting. These two, added 288 runs for the fourth wicket and Clarke too, notched up a brilliant triple century. Then came Hussey, to contribute to Australia’s scorecard. He too scored a brilliant 150 and Australia declared at 659/4 with a lead of 468, which was enough to finish off India. And the same thing happened. India was bowled out for 400 with Gambhir top scoring for India with 83. So, Australia won by an innings and 68 runs. Although this is Test Cricket and the upcoming series is the shortest version of the game (T20), I gave you these things to tell that the last International match in Sydney had the losing side India.

The Indians Should Have A Go At Australia:

The Australian team lacks the big-hitters such as Adam Gilchrist and Matthew Hayden but has got good youngsters such as David Warner, Shaun Marsh etc. Though Australia have won the Border Gavaskar Cricket Test series 4-0, they are not known for their T20 action recently. But I don’t mean to say that the full chance goes to the Indians. I can say that the maximum chance is for India as they have got youngsters as well as big-hitters like, the real danger man Virender Sehwag (Not an youngster), Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Sachin Tendulkar (not an youngster) and the skipper himself (M.S. Dhoni). The Australian bowling too doesn’t have much of a depth. There is no Johnson and Pattinson in the team and so India should make full use of their chances in the T20 series and they must make their Australian tour worth it by capturing the Tri-series as well as the T20 series. But one danger for India is that, Brett Lee is back in the Australian team.

Suresh Raina Confident About The T20 Series:

And Suresh Raina seems to be very much confident about the pitch and the team. He said that there won’t be any worries about the recent defeats against Australia and the Indian Team would start its tour freshly. That seems to be a good sign. He also warned to Bailey’s men that the Indian Team is much different in Test cricket compared to T20s. If the Indian Team as a whole can stay positive, as Suresh Raina said and also give chance to the youngsters, then India is a team that can’t be beaten so easily. He also says that the youngsters in the Indian Team won’t be affected by the Test defeat to Australia and they will stay afresh. So let’s hope India does well.

Suresh Raina with the Man Of The Match Trophy

Youngsters In The Indian Team Will Get A Lot Of Practice For The World Cup In 2015:

The present youngsters in the Indian Team like Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli and the other youngsters will get a good practice by playing in Australia for one and half months as the next World Cup in 2015 is scheduled to take place in Australia and Newzealand. The Indians, however, will get a good practice  against New Zealand also, as the Kiwis will be the visitors by coming August. Team India should do a lot of hard work to win the present series as the Australian ODI Team and the Srilankan ODI Team is not an easy one to beat. In ODI’s, as far as the pitch is concerned, The Australians have got a good chance to win this Tri-series. But not only the pitch is a factor, but the playing eleven also comes into account. In terms of playing eleven, all the three teams can put up a good fight as all are World Champions at one time or the other and they have also got some good players in their side. But mainly, the Indian youngsters should try to make the most of it for they can’t get a better practice to the World Cup rather than this one. But the advantage to the Indian Team is that, currently the World Champions.

Comments On MS Dhoni’s Captaincy:

As a lot of former cricketers are making comments about MS Dhoni’s captaincy, I too want to do just the same. A lot of Indian cricketers just see the statistics and start to criticize Dhoni based on that. What can Dhoni do as a captain if the whole of the batting unit fails in every match? We all know that a captain is only as good as his team. He is a true champion and he is also a master of his game. He and Yuvi (Yuvraj) have won lot of matches for India in the past and I hope they repeat it in the future. It’s bad to criticize the captain alone for the team losing. A captain alone can’t do much of it if the whole of the team fails to put runs on the board and thereby not giving the bowlers a cushion of runs to defend. I don’t come to the point that Dhoni has done a great job as a captain and as well as a batsmen. I know that Dhoni has not established himself as an overseas batsman but at the same point I can’t understand why the former cricketers are criticizing him for his keeping skills. What wrong did they find about his keeping skills? “Did he drop any catch? Or any misfields? Just if you don’t like a player and for the sake of criticizing him, you can’t speak ill about his good qualities. A captain can have a good series as well as a bad series. That’s all part and parcel of the game. So stop criticizing him, please.

Coach Duncan Fletcher Needs To Do Something Different:

The Indian Coach Duncan Fletcher needs to do something different as Gary (Kristen) did when he was the coach for India. But as I said, he must be given ample time to work on the basics, to know the individual strength and weaknesses and to guide them in a correct way. So, in this situation you can’t complain about Fletcher. Every coach needs a particular span of time to prove themselves. It only varies from coach to coach. So, better luck Fletcher!

Imran Khan Should Have Kept Quiet:

Last but not the least, Imran Khan should have kept quiet on the topic of Sachin retiring from international cricket after the World Cup itself. A person’s retirement doesn’t lie in Imran Khan’s hands but it is the player who should decide about his retirement.

My Prediction:

And coming back to the T20 series, my prediction is that India will triumph 2-0 in the series and bring the Cup home. GOOD LUCK TEAM INDIA!!! HAVE A NICE TIME!
